Why Join Our Bodies, Our Stories?
Our Bodies, Our Stories is a 6-part reflective circle in collaboration with The Body Vessel Collective that turns the lens inward — not to fix your body, but to understand the stories it has been carrying.
In a country where bodies are constantly commented on, corrected, measured, and moralised, this series creates a supportive space for teenagers and young adults who are struggling with body-image to pause, unpack inherited narratives, and rebuild their relationship with body, food, movement, visibility, and self-worth.
From school uniforms that didn’t fit right, to “shaadi-ready” comments, to doctors who blamed everything on weight, classroom shaming to Instagram reels that quietly messed with your head — most of us grew up absorbing messages about our bodies without ever questioning them. The series blends conversation, writing, metaphor, body awareness, and collective witnessing.
At the end of the series, walk away with language, tools, and inner clarity that allow you to relate to your body from truth instead of shame.
Here, we ask:
- Which beliefs about our bodies were never truly ours?
- What have we been taught to fear, hide, fix, or apologise for?
- And what becomes possible when we choose truth and compassion instead?
Because your body is not a problem to be solved.
It is a story worth listening to.
